Hello All,

Welcome to my new Travel Blog, Mark Up the Globe, where we will be doing just that, Marking up the Globe on a year long travel adventure.

My name is Mark Diaz, I'm a 2022-2023 Watson Fellow researching traditions of Total Theatre, Global Discoveries of Diverse Drama across the world (more on that later).

I'll be spending the next year traveling literally across the world, across places like Spain, Japan, Bali, & more, watching/studying/writing on world theatre, meeting artists, taking classes, and sharing my experiences with you.

I will not set foot in the United States for 365 days beginning on July 4, 2022 (go figure), until I return in 2023. Please follow along here for all my musings, travel tips, food reviews, and more!
