The
Urban Shakespeare Project
Theatre is in crisis! With closures, empty venues, and cancelled productions, how do we get people back into the theatre? We don't. It is time to reimagine theatre for a new generation. Instead of going out to the theatre, we want to bring the theatre directly to you!
The Urban Shakespeare Project is an theatrical monologue showcase dedicated to putting theatre where it belongs: on the streets and for the public! There are no barriers, no expectations, all are invited to partake! View monologues from the canon of Shakespeare on the streets you know, the cities you love, and by the landmarks you hold dear to your heart. If all the world's a stage, why don't we truly show it and use it.
Please enjoy the current catalog, and be emboldened to submit your own! Link, stitch, dm, email, post your own #urbanshakespeareproject . record monologues in your neighborhood or any part of the world, and get featured on the page
